rxInventory 3.10 (Build 3) avoids several limitations of remote interfaces by using a new scanning method. In addition to performance improvements and reduced bandwidth requirements, previously undetectable information such as Windows Store apps can now be included. The distribution of client software remains to be not necessary, and the classic scan mode is also available if required.
Further improvements have been accomplished in the acquisition of network components. This can be seen, for example, in the analysis of switches and their relationship to neighboring devices. In addition, manufacturers of network cards are now listed in the corresponding views.
Following the introduction of the function for thinning out historical data, this version offers a new dialog for database optimization. The optional schema extension and a possible data defragmentation accelerate complex queries significantly.
Changes to rxInventory 3.10
